  2. You will require  640,000 characters of Ramdom  Access Memory to  run TFO. You
  3. may install the shareware  version on either a hard disk or on a 720k diskette
  4. laptop computer.  The 6.1 version will only run on a hard disk. In either case
  5. type "install" from the A: prompt with diskette 1 in drive A. The install pro-
  6. gram on the diskette will copy the files from each diskette to  the hard disk.
  7. Any remaining diskettes are inserted when prompted. Please pay close attention
  8. to the directions as you proceed with the install. In the case of 720k laptops
  9. be sure to have two  (2)  formatted disks ready with one inserted in drive B:.
  10. After the files are copied type  TFO to begin. Drive and directory titles will
  11. be confirmed and the files will be initially indexed.

  13. If TFO will not run in your computers available memory: 1. Be sure that no TSR
  14. programs are running.  2. Change the SET CLIPPER line to read  'R032' and then
  15. use your own word processor with TFO. You need about 585,000 characters of RAM
  16. to run TFO with  The Write Perspective or with PC-Write 2.7.,  less with other
  17. word processors. The TFO.BAT file has the line  'SET CLIPPER=V006;R132' in it.
  18. This example  reserves 132K of  RAM for word processors. The Write Perspective
  19. is run in RAM with TFO. The Config.sys file needs to have 2 lines: 'BUFFERS=8'
  20. and 'FILES=20'.  Be sure to reboot your computer after making changes to Auto-
  21. exec.bat and Config.sys.  Use The Write Perspective to check these files.  You
